Rick Piovesan

Rick Piovesan was a rare person; he had no prejudices and not a malicious bone in his body.  If you were his friend, there were no conditions, no strings attached.

To paraphrase part of Jim Valvano’s ESPY speech, given shortly before he died, CJD has taken Rick from us. It cannot touch the man he was, it cannot touch the friend he was, it cannot touch the son, brother, uncle, father or husband he was. As long as we remember Rick, those things will go on forever. We will see him again someday and only God knows when.
