Hi to all!
First I want to start off by saying I’m deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one. My father passed away less than 1 year ago and each day is a struggle without him physically here. The disease took him so mysteriously and so fast. It just isn’t fair and I don’t want pain and suffering to happen to others. So I have decided to run a marathon in honor of my dad and all the while raise awareness and funds for CJD. I have created a blog site where I’m tracking my training and also posting information about CJD, etc. I have informed all that I know about the site and have told them to pass it on to all people they know as well. The site has only been going for 1 week and there is still only $25 in the benefit account I set up and I’m the one who deposited the money. Anyway, I’m not saying this so you donate money but I can’t do this by myself. We need more answers. Please help! Check out my website and start spreading the news!! Thank you so much for your support!
Much love,
Lacy

Happy father’s day to all as we think of the fathers
we have lost to this cruel disease. This is I and my
family’s sixth father’s day without my dad and we
miss him everyday.

I miss the old guestbook. How about if everyone duplicates their earlier entry?
Me first - Our family lost our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, son, cousin and friend — Danny Blejer — on January 2, 2004 after a mysterious 12 month illness. He was 52 years old and likely infected during neurosurgery 25 years earlier.

This Mother’s Day will be a sad one for those of us who must celebrate it without our mother. This will be my first one since my mom passed away from this dreadful disease in November. Instead of spending it with her at home, or a restaurant or some type of family outing, I will be spending it at a cemetary. It’s not fair and I’m angry. But I have to hold on to all the good memories and not let anger get in the way of making new Mother’s Day memories with my kids. That is what she would have wanted. I hope that all of you can find some joy in this Mother’s Day and keep your memories alive and try to be happy. And thank you CJD foundation for all the support and information that you provide to all of us who in need. I appreciate you all!

To all of you currently going through this horrible disease, my thoughts and prayers are with you. As the anniversary of my dad’s passing approaches I’m thankful that I got to say the things I need to say to him and that my mom was with me when he passed away. We love you dad. 1947-2007

Well, not sure if I’m posting correctly and it will probably take me a while to figure out this new format but I’m giving it a shot! Just wanted to say hello. Hope this note finds everyone well.
